When your customer receives their tag(s), they can scan each QR code to activate it and add their contact information to it. Each QR code is unique, and should be added separately to their ScanKeep account. They can update their contact information anytime without having to change their QR codes, and they can manage all of their tags in one easy-to-use dashboard.
They can also upgrade their membership to Premium to add more peace-of-mind to their QR codes:
- Add images and share important information on the pages that open when someone scans their QR code.
- Receive SMS and Email alerts with the geographic location as soon as one of their QR codes is scanned.
- Reply to the scan alert directly via SMS to initiate the conversation with finders, instead of waiting for the other person to send the first message
- Assign multiple contacts for each QR code.
- Hide their identity and their contact information while receiving email and text messages from people, and replying anonymously via SMS.

Please note that our tags are not chew-proof or scratch-proof, and are subject to wear and tear. Please be aware that hanging/stacking tags with other tags can speed up the wear and tear. Once you receive the tag, it is your responsibility to properly care for it. We will not be held responsible for any destroyed tags from chewing nor any harm caused by the ingestion of the tag materials.
The color of your metal keyring and metal tag may tarnish over time. We recommend keeping the tag and keyring dry to prolong the integrity of the items. They can be dried with a soft cloth as needed.
